OPI You're Such a Budapest

Last week I got one of my dream polishes!! OPI You're such a budapest. I've wanted this polish since forever! It was my favorite from the entire Euro Centrale Collection. I couldn't find it anywhere because its hard to find good OPIs here in India. It was just last week when my dad went to Russia and sent me a picture of couple of polishes for me to choose. This was one of them and I was 99% sure it was You're such a budapest just looking at the bottle. I was right. I couldn't breathe when I received it! So bear with me because I have a bit too many pictures of this as it was hard to choose just a few.

I thought the polish was a bit too thin and kind of hard to work with but I guess my expectations were too high for this polish :p
Fully opaque in 3 coats.
Dries fast.

And one last picture

Which polish was your favorite from the Euro Centrale Collection? :)

Pretty Lace Nails

I love everything lace, so I made them on my nails!

I made this design really easy as I filmed a tutorial for this and I wanted to do something even beginners would find easy.
Talking about the tutorial, I filmed it 6 MONTHS BACK(!!) but I was able to upload it only TODAY after deleting over 1500 items from my laptop *-*

Anyways here's the tutorial:

Tell me what to record next? Now that I have some space on my laptop, I really want to make more videos :)

Working with a spoilt striper - Beach Nails inspired by TheNailTrail

I don't usually use stripers for my designs unless they are really easy and can be done without thin brushes. And because I don't use them a lot, my only 2 stripers are spoilt. They have become really thick and gloopy and I can't even thin them out :/ I didn't realized that until I tried doing this gorgeous beach design by The Nail Trail

My version:
My Version

I told you my striper was spoilt. I mean look at those birds! They look obese!

Beach Nails

The only thing I liked about this mani was the gradient in the background so I made a tutorial for it :)

1) Start with a base coat
2) Apply a thin coat of white polish and wait for it to completely dry
3) Paint on purple, red and orange stripes on a sponge and slightly blend them
4) Sponge it on your nails 2-3 times
5) Apply a topcoat to smooth it out
6) Clean up around your nail

Some tips to get a perfect gradient:
  • Use acrylic paints whenever possible because they blend easily
  • If you are using polishes, then wet your sponge before applying the polishes. The water will help them blend.
  • Don't press on the dry sponge too many times. Re-apply the colors alternatively.

How do you think it turned out? I think it was pretty good for a spoilt striper :P

L'Oréal Paris Nail polish Review and Swatches

Today I'll be swatching and reviewing 6 of my L'Oréal Paris Polishes - Addictive Plum, Exotic Canaries, Green Couture, Sky Fits Heaven, Rebel Blue and Ingenuous Rose.

L'Oréal Paris nail polishes

First off I have L'Oréal Paris Addictive Plum

L'Oréal Paris Addictive Plum
This high gloss maroon was such a beautiful polish. So easy to apply and perfect finish in 1 coat!
It is a little more darker in real life, especially in the shade, so here's a picture of how it looks indoor:

L'Oréal Paris Addictive Plum
Next I have Exotic Canaries.

L'Oréal Paris Exotic Canaries
This is such a perfect yellow! A yellow everybody must have.
It is completely opaque in 4 coats. Application was really easy and it dries fast so 4 coats didn't seem like much of a hassle.
Here is a picture showing different coats.

L'Oréal Paris exotic canaries

You can't really tell much of a difference between 3 and 4 in the picture but trust me, 4 coats is way more opaque.
I apply really thin coats, so you if you put them a bit thicker, you might be good in 2-3.

Next up is Green Couture

L'Oréal Paris Green Couture

Totally loved this dark, forest green polish♡
Opaque in 3 coats (2 if you apply it a bit thicker). Smooth and Easy application.

L'Oréal Paris Green Couture

Next in line is Sky Fits Heaven.

L'Oréal Paris Sky Fits Heaven

This was fully opaque in 2 coats, however you can just put on 1 thick coat.
Even one coat wasn't that bad, and it would look opaque in a picture, but you could kind of see the ridges on your nails in real life, so I went with two.

For some reason, I really liked its name. In fact it was my favorite out of the 6

Next is Rebel Blue

L'Oréal Paris Rebel Blue

Oh my God! This polish's application was a dream!! I think I like this even more than Addictive Plum and Sky Fits Heaven.
Also, you see in the picture but this has a slight, subtle shimmer in it. I'm not a big fan of shimmer but I don't mind this ;)

And finally I have Ingenuous Rose

L'Oréal Paris Ingenuous Rose

Isn't this such a pretty pink? One of my favorites!
It looks like a lovely coral under yellow light.

Opaque in 4 coats

I have a little nail art on this too ;)

So these are my swatches of some gorgeous L'Oréal Paris nail polishes.
Which one is your favorite? :)

Scooby Doo Nails ♡

@amylovesnewave on Instagram was hosting a 80's themed contest and I was so desperate to take part in it because she had an "intermediate" category. So I googled some 80's cartoons and games because I was born in the 90's and I found a lot of common ones. I listed them down to my 2 favorites - Richie Rich and Scooby Doo. I went with scooby doo because that existed for a longer time and also for some reason I thought that would be easier? This is what I came up with:

I did a water marble too trying to do their background like this one

But it didn't turn out as expected so it just looks like a random water marble on the side haha (I suck at water marbling)

I don't have a lot of pictures of this mani but I've had it on for 4 days! I don't usually wear something for so long(especially if its the weekend) but I really really loved how this turned out because I rarely do any characters on my nails.
Also when I started making this, it looked kind of gross and I had a feeling I would have to redo it but as I continued making it, thankfully it started taking shape.

After making this I think I'm going to try out more characters because I really enjoyed doing this♡♡

Welcome to my blog ♡♡

After seeing all these amazing nail blogs, I finally decided to start my own. Now, I don't really have a good experience with blogging. I had already written this welcome post on the blogger app on my phone but when I decided to publish it this morning, IT HAD DISAPPEARED ! I used to blog earlier too about random stuff but I never really took it seriously and eventually got bored of it and even kind of started to hate blogging. I usually (actually only) post my nails on Instagram but I can't really write much over there about them so I thought, why not start blogging again?

Another major reason I'm doing this is because I've always wanted to receive items for reviewing and apparently instagram doesn't count and you've got to have a blog or a youtube channel. Now I barely post anything on my youtube channel because 1) I'm too lazy to record and edit videos 2) I can't do reviews there because I hate my voice and don't talk in my videos and I don't see the point in doing a written review on youtube.

So I'm not going to make this post really long because I've already lost my original post which had so much more stuff in it and I can't remember everything anyways ;p.
This will mainly be a nails only blog. I'll post nail art, swatches, reviews, tutorials, etc. and I'll try to post as frequently as possible.
And I wil LOVE LOVE LOVE you forever if you could follow me ♡ I've noticed its really hard to get followers on blogger but it would be great if I could even get a few :) Thanks to my mom and my amazing ig friend Jenna, I already have 2 even before my first post xD
